Restored iPhone but lost photos

Hi all

I updated (to iOS8.4) and restored my iPhone 6 Plus from iCloud back up yesterday. All is great except I have lost the recent 10 days worth of photos. Prior to restoring, I manually pressed the 'back up' link on my iPhone on 3 different occasions in the span of 12 hours. Despite doing this, after restoring, 10 days worth of photos disappeared. They're also not on my iCloud website. What can I do about this? I knew I should have never trusted an Apple cloud service cuz they never seem to be able to get things right. I was foolish to believe they may just have got it right...
