Why some of my old music file cannot play after I upgrade to iCloud music?

I turned on the iCloud music and Apple Music. And I understand part of the effects after turned on the iCloud music, like the radio playlist is attaching iCloud. But how come some of my old music (mp3) unable to play on my phone? Does that mean I need to purchase them????? or ask iTunes Match to save me???

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4

No need to buy stuff.

Have you removed your old songs from your PC?

This happened to me too. I logged myself out from my app store/Itunes store account on my phone. I did the same in iTunes. Then I connected me back in and tried to sync. Everything worked fine to me.

I would try out first few basics like those before restoring/buying things.
