mac pro 10.7 why can't i install garageband or ?

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), leopard

Have you seen the latest. It just came up with my update notification for GarageBand.

You now need to have a Music Connect account to install or update GarageBand.

Stinks.

you mis-read that. it says in order to "share directly from GB to Apple Music Connect" you need a Music Connect account.

rather makes sense, no?
