Need to update but it will not let me because it keeps saying payment method declined. Had no problems in the past

Need to update my apps and haven't had any problems in the past but now it says payment method declined & I am using same credit card I have always used and never had any trouble till now. It has cash in it so it's not insufficient funds. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

iPad Mini, iOS 8.4
