iTunes deleting my song files?

After upgrading to version 12.2 my songs are getting deleted as soon as I play them.

I go into My Music, find a locally stored song I want to play, double click it and boom it deletes it from the Library.

I then go to Finder to look for the song file itself and it's completely gone. Nothing in the trash can -- just completely gone. It still plays the song but the m4a file is physically gone.

I thought maybe it was something to do with iCloud Music Library but I have this turned off (and never had it on).

Luckily I have these files backed up so I'll just restore them but I can't listen to any of my music without iTunes deleting the file.

Anyone else have this problem?

At this point I'm looking for alternatives to iTunes.
