Can someone please tell me how I can get a word count in pages version 4.3?

Logic Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
The word count is displayed along the bottom bar of the open document. You enable this in the Pages '09 preferences general under Editing. It can also be obtained from the Document Inspector's Info tab.
