ipad screen issue

Hi All,

I have got an ipad 2 and had never encountered any issues until other day.

I was watching movie on my ipad and I had to pause and hold ipad and moved on to different place to watch more comfortably. I wanted to play the movie, screen is partly white and rolls on until middle of the screen and goes back and comes to middle and rest of the screen is blank.

I did try hold the home button and power button for few seconds it does switch off completely but comes back as I have explained earlier

I have no clue what happened. I have my daughters pictures and videos I want to back them up. I have connected to my pc and iTunes to back up but its asking for allowing access via device which unfortunately I cannot. please please please advice how can i get back my ipad. Can you please advise how i can access content in my ipad and anything that i can do to get back screen?
