Choppy video playback even worse in 12.2

So I was hoping this new version might fix the problem of video playback being choppy, but it's actually worse now. Where it used to only affect content from the iTunes store, now all video from any source is choppy 😟 No matter the video quality or location of the file, it's horrible.

Are there any possible remedies for this?
