Where are my playlists in the new itunes update??????

Thank you Ct,,but,,,,to be more specific,,, my problem is : all the playlists I had created in the past no longer show up when I open "Playlists",,,,,all my songs are now in " my music".....therefore 15 of my origin " playlists" with thousands of songs have now been deleted.....is there a way to recover my original lists, i.e.. the ones I had prior to the update ( and spend many hours compiling)????
