Group message naming not working

Hi all,

I have read that I am supposed to be able to name a group message on my iPhone 6 by selecting Details and swiping down-- but this doesn't work.

How do I do it?

All recipients have to be using iMessage. If you have anyone that is not using an iOS device and iMessage in the group you cannot name it.

I am only including two other people on the message and they both are on iPhones using the message app. Still unable to name it.

Also, am I supposed to be able to read phone messages on my Mac? I cannot access the Messages preferences.
