iTunes 12.2 won't update

My I currently have iTunes 12.1.1.4 on my Windows 8.1 computer. I keep getting the "new iTunes available" banner. I try to update but although it connects to the store, nothing else happens. Is there anyway for me to get the new update without uninstalling and reinstalling? I don't want to have to reload everything.

All options to update actually remove any prior version before installing the new one. Your iTunes library should be unaffected, though its highly advisable to make a complete backup of it first as a safeguard against potential issues.

You can download the latest version of iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ - this should offer the correct installer (32- or 64-bit) for your system, You can also download the appropriate installer directly from these links:
