I plan to buy iMac and/or macbook pro through a friend in USA. However what i am not sure, is what all things can be repaired under warranty in India?
I want to buy product in USA as i can configure and are less costly than in India.

The Apple Warranty for new products is universal. However, it has been reported that authorised outlets in India will not necessarily offer the same level of interest as European ones. It appears they favour the products bought from their store. I think you should do a little research first, both with Apple India and a local store.
