I have been trying to set up my messaging. I have now connected it to a gmail and I can Message 1 person in my office. However, I am not receiving the msgs they send back. Help!!!

I am setting up messaging in my office we all work on mac's. I have now set up mine so I can chat with one co worker however, she can't message back. Any idea on what Im doing wrong here?
