I am getting no power to the time capsule since we had a power cut

If you have tried the Time Capsule on other AC outlets that you know are working, and it will not power up, then the internal power supply on the Time Capsule has failed.


If the Time Capsule is within the warranty period, Apple will replace the device for you. The Time Capsule would also be covered if you have AppleCare in effect on one of your Macs....and....the Time Capsule is less than 3 years old.


Apple does not offer repairs or repair parts for the Time Capsule, but it might be possible to do repairs with parts from another used Time Capsule. The feasibility of this depends on the model of the Time Capsule that you have. Check to locate the model number on the bottom of the device. It starts with an "A" followed by four numbers.
