Why is my windows PC not authorising my playlist? I haven't authorised any other devises before

I have downloaded Itunes onto my computer for the first time (until now I have been using apple devices with Itunes). I ave tried to aurthorise the computer three times in the last 24 hours and have received this error message "There was an error n the Itunes store please try again later". Has anyone else had this message and can you help me out with a solution!? I have just spent £25 and cannot waste that!
