Why are my playlists changed after upgrading iOS?

I upgraded iOS and afterwards iCloud for music was for some strange reason automatically enabled. I had explicitly turned it off because this feature does not help me in any way. Now all my playlists are changed. Turning it off again leaves me with no playlists at all.
