Q: Imessages from email address?

I recently switched to the Ting network, and I am unable to send text imessages from my phone number. It's sending from my email address. Anyone else have this issue?

iPhone 5c, iOS 8.4

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that messages sent from your iPhone are sending using your Apple ID email address and not your phone number. I would first suggest looking under Settings > Messages to verify that “Start New Conversations From” is set to your phone number and not email address as shown in the attached picture.
