iPad stuck on blank screen, iOS has disappeared.

Hi,


So basically I was exiting an app and half way through the closing animation it just froze, so I locked my iPad and unlocked it again and iOS has just disappeared, It's a blank page, all I can see is my background picture, the time and my battery life. I can't turn it off, I can't force turn it off. I can't even go into iTunes on my computer and reset it because it requires my password to be entered from my iPad. I updated to iOS 8.4 yesterday so It's probably something with that.


Does anyone know whats going on?

Try a device reset:


Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)


1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.

2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.

3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
