Why iTunes 8.4 deletes the covers of the music on my iPhone 6? is it a ploy to force us to buy the music from them?

iTunes deletes the covers of my albums in my iPhone 6. Why this issue has to be so annoying to the user? I paid for the iPhone, why can't I use it to carry my music?
