Aug 14, 2015 10:46 AM in response to Mapple89by Thurberbook,Just to add to the list of people with issues: I have also been experiencing this problem for a quite some time now.
Seems like there are some temporary workarounds but nothing that solves the problem. It's frustrating for those that google frequently (developers and such) as it slows down the workflow many many times a day.

Aug 17, 2015 3:39 PM in response to Thurberbookby crystalship,Updated to 10.10.5 and I still have this issue happen in Safari so I started using Chrome more. Yes, it sure did slow down my workflow and I'm tired of it.
If anyone finds a fix, let us know.

Aug 20, 2015 6:06 AM in response to Mapple89by sheilap11,Brand new out of box iMac, no extensions, no big cache or anything yet cluttering up system (new as in brand new)...and can't go back to Google results.
There has to be some bug, and with 4 pages of problems when will we get a real response from a "Genius" to this annoying issue! I guess I'll be loading up Firefox and Chrome to my new machine, since it came complete with the old problems....

Aug 20, 2015 9:59 AM in response to sheilap11by the5thbeatle,These discussion forums are useless. They're not a substitute for customer service.
We talk and talk about the same problem, and Apple does NOTHING. I too have gone to (trouble-free) Firefox.

Aug 24, 2015 1:01 PM in response to Mapple89by gottsleeb,I have been able to reproduce this 100% of the time using the following steps:
- Performing a search first using the Safari address bar
- Use the input box on the Google results page from the first search to perform a second search
- Navigate away from the second page
- Go back in your browser history to either rule page (using either the back button on swiping)
Every time I perform this series of steps, as soon as I attempt to load either result page by going back in history, the page appears but then seemingly unloads as soon as the progress bar finishes. For ref I've encountered this on two computers both running OS X 10.10.5, Safari 8.0.8 (10600.8.9), with only 1Password and Pocket extensions.
Ironically I think I discovered another Safari bug while validating these steps wherein while running Safari in full screen and dragging a tab out of the window to create a second window with the tab causes a new Safari window to appear in full screen but the body of the new window cuts off the top few pixels of the page.

Aug 25, 2015 12:08 PM in response to crystalshipby indiekiduk2,This bug still exists in 10.10.5 so obviously Apple are completely stumped on this haha! Or I suppose its possible they are trying to sabotage Google and make us move to another Search as some have done by switching to Bing. I'll switch to Bing and give that a try and if the results aren't good enough I suppose I'll need to go back to Firefox.

Aug 27, 2015 3:35 AM in response to indiekiduk2by crystalship,★HelpfulI found this fix on a MacRumors:
Google.com ⇒ Settings (down right corner) ⇒ Search Settings ⇒ Google Instant Predictions ⇒ Never Show Instant Results ⇒ Save
So far so good.
