why doesn't my ipod 5 charge?

I have an iPod 5 and it doesn't want to charge. My iPod lit up yesterday after the screen was black for a day, but with 20% charge and I tried to charge it, but unless that I put it in a specific position, it wouldn't. Today, I used my iPod and when it was at 20%, I wanted to charge it and tried to put it in a specific position to charge my iPod, but it died suddenly. Now, its' screen is black and I waited for at least 30 minutes, but it wont show that it isn't charging and it just doesn't want to charge. I tried also changing the charger, but it still won't work. I don't know what to do 😟. Please help me and sorry for the long text.
