How do I enable Apple Music in iTunes 12.2?

I have iTunes 12.2 however I somehow do not have the "New" and "For You" tabs that go along with the Apple Music subscription that my family subscribed to (we have the family subscription. I also do not have the option to manage my subscriptions from the "account info" pane in the iTunes store. Despite all of this, the connect portion of Apple music is available to me on the menu bar in iTunes. How would I go about turning on the Apple music features?
