iOS 8.4 - continuous crash of the music app

Same problem here, with iPhone 5

My music app crashes immediately after opening it. iPhone 5s.

I'm experiencing the same problem on iPhone 5 but it crashes randomly when I try to do something on the phone. Apple, what is going on?

Finnaly foud the issue. once I've activate iCloud Music it stopped crashing after updating my music and playlists. Hope this works for you guys.

I'm also having this issue. Though my phone is an iPhone 5. It's really frustrating, especially since I listen to music at almost all times of the day. I seriously hope this issue is fixed soon. Not happy about it at all.

I went into Settings > Music and clicked "Join Apple Music". This brought me back into the Music app and allowed me to either start my free trial or go to my music. I chose go to my music. All of my previously synced music and playlists were there just as happy as can be. Music app works fine and I do like the new interface better. I'll give IOS 8.4 a few more days on my iPad Mini (original) before I update my iPhone 5s but so far so good.

i have a iPad crashing issue too; seems to be when I want to skip songs. Never had a problem with imatch services, been two years now.

does it very regular unfortunately. Found a reason to turn the auto renewal off. I'm accepting it for the three month trail!!

also random album covers too; even on the albums I've purchased through itunes

It's really no excuse for Apple to do this. They've been in music industry for how long? A decade? A decade and half, if I'm not mistaken. Come on, Apple... get it all dialed in. This is real bad that I wonder out loud if I should bail ship of Apple? This is the first and this is real BAD. Just a simple click on playlists and it crashes? The heck with this. I can't even downgrade to 8.3 because Apple is striving to make revenue? Hmm, Taylor Swfit just zinged Apple for that.

Well, for what it is worth, last night, I had to resort to reboot and start all over again. Had to reinstall the apps I've previously downloaded, etc. Well, well, well... my music app is now stable. However, I'll post again if it resumes to be unstable again. I don't know why this worked for me.

I found that every time I select a play list, then shuffle, it plays the first song sometimes it will open to that song and sometimes only displays the song down near the footer and then becomes un-responsive to any thing, even have trouble quitting the app. Very frustrating, need to fix this like yesterday. IPhone 6+

had same problem on iphone6. when playing a song on a playlist, it would play first song then freeze. i selected the playlist and selected "make available offline" and it started working. having problems downloading some songs from apple music still.. hope this helps someone.

same issue here on iPhone 6.... I thought 8.4 was supposed to fix this?

I can get one maybe two songs into a playlist before it crashes...

For me, it also seems to be affected just by intereacting with the app
