iPod touch 5g doesn't respond? Pease help!

I have an iPod touch 5g, it was working fine. Today I left it on my bed with 20% of battery and when I came back hours later it didn't start up. My home button is locked so I tried holding down the power button for a while (has worked for me in the past), but still nothing. Next I tried to charge it, left it for an hour or so more, neither did that work. Finally I connected it to my PC hoping iTunes would detect it but it was all in vain. It seems I'm stuck with it! And as I said, it was working alright. Thanks for the help/

Try the remaining items of:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
