i can't view files in my usb

I can't seem to view my files when using my usb on my mac? Please i need your help guys. thanks

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Please try the usb port on the other side. For my MacBook Air, the left one doesn't work, but the one on the right side always works.

PPlease describe the xactky what is happenin? Does the drive show up? What happens when you double-click on it? Any error messages?
