frequent kernel panic

My macbook's been having seriously frequent kernel panics for last couple of weeks, and this happens at least twice a day.

It restarts at first, and then when I try to log in, it restarts for 3 - 5 times more and then finally logs in which doesn't last very long and crash every minute or so, then I have to shut down my mac and wait for half an hour to restart it again.

I thought this was caused by chrome, because it was the application that was always open when such panics occurred, so I deleted chrome and started using safari instead for a day, and this happened again.

Here is the diagnostic log from the latest crash (chrome deleted and was using safari):

I want to know what causes these panics and how to relieve crashes...

Thanks in advance!

That panic was not caused by third-party software. If the problem is recurrent, the possibilities are:

  1. A stale or corrupt kernel cache
  2. A damaged OS X installation
  3. A fault in a peripheral device, if any
  4. Corrupt non-volatile memory (NVRAM)
  5. An internal hardware fault (including incompatible memory)
  6. An obscure bug in OS X

You may already have ruled out some of these.

Rule out #1 by starting up in safe mode and then restarting as usual. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.

You can rule out #2 and #3 by reinstalling the OS and testing with non-essential peripherals disconnected and aftermarket expansion cards removed, if applicable. Sometimes a clean reinstallation may solve a problem that isn't solved by reinstalling in place.

Corrupt PRAM, which occasionally causes panics, can be ruled out by resetting it.

Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, though generally unreliable, will sometimes detect a fault. A negative test can't be depended on. Run the extended version of the test, if applicable.

Connecting more than one display is another reported trigger for OS X bugs.

Otherwise, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider to have the machine tested. You may have to leave it there for several days. There isn't much point in doing this unless you can reproduce the panic, or if you can't, it happens often enough that it's likely to be repeated at the store. Otherwise you may be told that nothing is wrong.

Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.

Thanks for such thorough reply! I tried all of them and I couldn't solve the issue, so I went to genius bar to consult of the problem, and there was no hardware problem, and they ran software test and came back saying that they couldn't pinpoint any issues. I had my laptop reseted to factory setting and have been using it for 3 days without any problem, and series of kernel panics occurred again just now...

On console app it says:

Google Chrome He (map: 0xffffff8010978690) triggered DYLD shared region unnest for map: 0xffffff8010978690, region 0x7fff91c00000->0x7fff91e00000. While not abnormal for debuggers, this increases system memory footprint until the target exits.

does it ring any bell for you??
