If they did it on the Mac you would think that all these iOS device next. I know you can invert the colors in the Settings but it just isn't the same. You would also think that a dark mode would be good for battery life.

I totally agree: "Dark mode" MUST happen on iOS9. I'm tired of frying my retinas on this Willy Wonka design theme that Apple has left dangling since iOS7. I realize that Apple wants to appeal to kids and hipsters, but the pendulum has swung much too far in that direction. It's grown-up time now. As an adult, I'd like for the iPhone to get back to WORK and be less of a childish design battleground that has coincidentally, wound up in a look-alike stalemate between iOS and Android.
How come Apple hasn't made a dark mode for iOS like on Yosemite?
