Device dissapeared from icloud

Hello!

My iPad was stolen 2 days ago, and later that day I checked my iCloud account for it and I activated the "Find my iPhone". Then that same night, I checked again and iCloud kept telling me that there were no devices associated with the account. Then, recently I received a SMS which stated that my iPad was attempting to activate at some location, with a link to access it: I couldn't check any of that information at the link because it kept saying that I first need to configure iCloud on the device!

Please help ASAP, I don't want that information to expire, so I can arrange with the police and find my iPad!!!
