I lost QTPro 7 when I upgraded to Yosemite. Now the registration window for 7.6.6 says my activation key is not valid. What's up with that?

Yosemite didn't erase QuickTime Player 7 when it was installed over a previous version of OS X.

Total HDD failure. Got a new machine and wanted to download QT Pro 7 and activate with the existing key.

Did you enter both the registration key and the user name (to include any salutation and/or suffix) under which you originally purchased the key? Both are significant for validation.
Yes I copied it directly from the invoice.
Email I mean. Never mind... I reinstalled QTPro7 and this time it worked. Thanks for your help.
