How do I delete all bookmarks in safari?

Trying to switch from chrome to safari, and need to clear the bookmarks folder in Safari.

I don't see any option to delete all bookmarks. Doing one at a time won't work - there are way too many bookmarks.

thanks,

It depends on what OS version you are using. For 10.10, Safari/Bookmarks/Edit Bookmarks. Then select the top one and hold down the shift key while selecting the bottom one. Hit the delete key.

Thanks, Eric

I was trying to something similar to what you suggested -- but, after selecting all the bookmarks, instead of hitting the delete button, I kept trying to right click and delete. But the moment I hit fed right-click to the selection, it would de-select all the bookmarks. Pressing the delete key didn't even cross my mind.

Thanks,
