Why can't I install update iOS 8.4 on iPad mini...keep getting message "unable to install update"

Settings > General > Usage

IOS Update should be first 800+ MB. Press 'Delete Update'.

SEttings > General > Software Update

Re-download the update, it should work as expected. Mine did 🙂

I'm having the same problem. I tried your solution and it didn't work. The update downloaded again and then the same message appeared when it tried to install.😢

Have you go enough space on ipad for download if not

Delete Apps / photos you can download again after update

Do update over your WiFi .

Thanks Brian. The problem solved itself when I powered the iPad off. When it came back ip it was downloading. Just the same as magic! 😝

I have the same problem on my iPhone 6 and I have tried everything you have all said but still nothing :-/ any more ideas?

Settings>>General>>Reset all Settings.

I Just restarted my iPhone 6 and It worked
