Lost files converting MPEG to AAC

Yesterday I converted some MPEG files to AAC files. Originally the bit rate was too low to store on iTunes Match so after changing it, I converted a few and it seemed to work. Now they seem to have "disappeared" from my library. I've signed out and turned on iTunes Match. But I still don't see them. How can I recover these files and see them in library?
