I did the recent update to iTunes version 12.2.0.145 and now when updating my apps I no longer see the stars bar in the top of screen. Anyone else having this problem? If so how can I show the status bar when downloading apps or updating apps.? They make things better but then other problems arise. Will apprecite any help on how to show status bar on top when downloading and updating apps.

When you have items downloading you should see a downward pointing arrow at the top right of the screen, click on that to get a popup of showing the downloads (you can pause, resume, and highlight and delete the downloads)
for some reason I do not see that when updating apps. When before I used to see it right here before the new update
How large are the apps that you are updating, and how quick is your internet connection ? If they are small and your connection is quick then the download may complete very quickly.
As far I can see there isn't any way to get the progress showing back in that central section.
they are not big at all do you know of any setting in the toolbar that will change it to show download bar or update bar or progress bar?
The downward arrow, as shown in my screenshot, only shows when there are unfinished downloads - I'm not aware of any setting to get anything to show in the top central box like it used to
