iTunes 12.2 does not work with iOS Remote App

I have a Mac Mini that was running iTunes 12.1.2 that in turn feeds 6 speakers and/or Apple Expresses utilizing AirPlay. I mostly play content through iTunes Radio. All of the iTunes functions (i.e. music station, playlist, etc) were controlled from any of the iOS devices on my network (iPhones, iPads) utilizing the iOS Remote App. Now that I have upgraded to iTunes 12.2.2 / iOS 8.4 and subscribed to family plan Apple Music, the Remote App no longer maps to iTunes 12.2.2. and provides extremely limited control. Does anyone else have this problem? This is a significant decrease of function for me.
