how can i remove a visa card from my account and not pay with a credit card and stay with paying with itunes cards ?

One night I was looking around iTunes and realized I can put a visa prepaid card in as a way to pay for music and I had a 50$ visa card laying around so I put it in and started buying music till there was no more money on the visa card. Then I went to update a free app I had and it said "please check your billing information" and so I did and I wanted to remove the visa card so I can update everything and go on happy with my apple product but there seems to be no way to remove the visa card and not pay with a credit card such as visa, master, discovery,amex . I want to pay with a iTunes card I got on my birthday but it will not accept it unless I update my billing information as in put in another visa card or master card of some sort. please help me figure out how I can remove the visa card and just go one paying with iTunes money
