Since the recent update to 12.2, my audiobooks do not appear in the authors "list". They show in the "audiobooks" dropdown, they show in the "audiobook" dropdown list - but not the "authors" dropdown - which is, of course, my preferred view. And it takes several seconds for the switch to be made - lots of spinning beachballs.
It's only in audiobooks - all other media is showing up correctly.

Yup, same issue! Also, why is it in the sync menu for an iPhone/iPod that you have to scroll to find the audiobook, by title. Why can't you use a filter or find bar similar to music?
I called support and the audiobooks not showing up is being addressed. We aren't the only ones
Solved the issue by resetting all settings. I wasn't getting sound, books weren't playing - or were playing without sound, all kinds of issues but resolved after the reset.
Now, just need that skip to the next track feature. 🙂.
