os x lion reinstall - no more 64bit

I just recently did a reinstall of os x 10.7.5 on my early 2008 Macbook 13" white 4,1 and tried to install parallels. I found out that i no longer had 64bit support. Before the reinstall, parallels worked fine, meaning I had 64bit. I don't know what happened but I would like to fix it. In system information it says that I do not have the 64 bit extensions. In activity monitor, most everything is running intel64 except for kernel_task. I have tried multiple fixes for this and the 6 4 keys on boot up. Nothing has worked for me yet.

Mac OS X (10.7.5)
