I am importing a 4x3 video file into Final Cut Pro X however it is stretching into 16x9. How do I fix this problem? I do not want to crop the file. I only want video file at the original aspect ratio of 4 x 3.

Doesn't looked stretched. Where did this come from? 960x720 is an anamorphic format.
it looks blown up... here ill show you the original file vs what you see on final cut pro x.
960x720 is an anamorphic format like 1440x1080. If you load those into a video application it will treat them as anamorphic. You might be able to change this in the settings section of the Info inspector.
You still haven't shown anything of what happens in the QT player and QT info.

DO what? The QT player? Open the clip in the QT player and look at Info in the Window menu.
