i was gonna change my restrictions passcode before the upgrade but decided to install the new iOS first and now the option is gone. I don't know why Apple would take it out. Just wondering if anyone else noticed and if anything can be done. Thanks.

When you say the option is gone, do you mean to change the passcode or to enable restriction? Both are available on my iPad Air 2 with iOS 8.4.
Have you tried a reboot by holding both the power button and home button until the Apple logo appears to see if that clears it?
. Yeah I can turn on and off restrictions but the ootiojs to modify my passcode is not there in this iOS. I'll try and attach screenshots.
