lexar jump drive not being read

I have a 32gb lexar jump drive and I was trying to transfer files from my old macbook to my new macbook air. The old macbook and my sister's macbook pro both read the jump drive, but my air won't. It just flashes red once and then never again instead of continuously flashing red like it's supposed to when plugged in.

Any help?
