Beats Studio Wireless cutting out

I bought some beats studio wireless headphones a week ago. So far really impressed with the comfort and sound. However I have been having a really annoying problem. When playing music through my iPhone 6 wirelessly in my pocket, the Audio randomly cuts out. sometimes it will cut out for a split second once or twice in a song, other times I lose count. It doesn't appear to happen when I'm holding the phone in front of me, only in or near my pocket. I'm not wearing anything that could upset the Bluetooth signal.

i spoke to Apple support who talked me through the process of checking firmware is up to date and doing a factory reset. All seemed ok yesterday and it seemed to work fine. Today however it has come back again, and seems worse.

has anyone else had this problem?

im running iOS 8.4. It also did it on 8.3. Latest firmware on the headphones.
