iPad software update to 8.4 resulted in recovery screen icon. Now just loops back to screen each time I try to restore. I have tried two other macs using itunes to restore with no success.

Did you follow the instructions in http://support.apple.com/k/HT1212 on how to do the recovery mode connection?
I'Ve already had this problem with one of previous updates. So far my solution is to set up the iPad as new and NOT restore any backup on it. Especially if the backup was made from a previous version. This just does not work.

Thanks Ralph and drbug for your responses. I have used above link and gone for the only option to restore from recovery mode. It goes through the process gets to the apple start up screen and reverts to recovery mode. I can not see an option anywhere to set up as new.
There may be something else going on with that iPad that needs the attention of an Apple tech. I would take it to an Apple Store Genius Bar and have it checked out.
ipad is looping in recovery screen mode. Click on iTunes to recover it downloads stuff starts to reformat then goes back to recovery screen
