I updated my iphone5s now it will not turn on . All it shows is the apple icon. I have tried to restart it by holding down the two buttons but still nothing happens

I Updated my iphone5s with the latest update. Now my phone will not turn on. All it shows is the apple icon. I have tried to restart it by holding down the two buttons, but still the same thing shows up. Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
