Safari 7.1.7 shows blank previous page

This is a bug report:

Safari 7.1.7 shows a blank page when the page is accessed by clicking on the "previous page" arrow. Even clicking on page refresh still gives a blank page. I have to re-enter the search string and hit "return" for the previous page to show up.

Safari build is (9537.85.16.12). Hardware is a MacBook Pro late 2010 vintage, OS is OS X 10.9.5 (13F1096).

Thanks.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mavericks (10.9), 2.66 GHz, 15.4"

It sounds more like a cache, extension, or plug-in issue.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

If nothing above helped, you can send a bug report using Apple Feedback > https://www.apple.com/feedback/safari.html
