com.yourcompany.yourapp folders?

iMac from 2011 is almost out of storage. About 33 GB of storage is allocated to 15 com.yourcompany.yourapp folders, One of those folders is using 30.9 GB, with the rest using about 200 MB each. I would like to delete some files to clear up storage. Does anyone know the purpose or origin of the com.yourcompany.yourapp folders? Are they important and can I delete them? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

kMDItemKind=Application&&kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier=com.yourcompany.yourapp

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select

File Find

from the menu bar. In the search window, select

Search: This Mac

from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select

Other...

A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select

Raw Query

as the criterion, then click OK or press return.

Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.

The search window may now show one or more applications. What are they?

All of the folders contains 2 more folders that are named "dosdevices" and "drive_c" as well as the files "system.reg", "user.reg", "userdef.reg". and "WineBottler.id". There are many more folders and files inside "dosdevices" and "drive_c". Everything has a different creation and modification date. Some folder says it was created on December 31, 1969 at 7:00 PM which was long before this computer was even created. Some of the files say they have been modified today at 3:00 PM, but others say they were last modified February 2014.

Also, I forgot to mention in my original post that all of the com.yourcompany.yourapp folders are located in Application Support.
