the pop up box to install itunes does not come up on my computer, why? ive changed the pop-up blocker settings?

i have windows 8, what is the issue?

Direct links for 12.2 installers:

Windows 7 or later, 32-bit - iTunesSetup.exe
Windows 7 or later, 64-bit - iTunes6464Setup.exe
Windows 7 or later, 64-bit "for older video cards" (actually 32-bit application w/ 64-bit installer) - itunes64setup.exe
