Question about "find my Iphone"

So I only had my Iphone 6 for a week before it was stolen. I didn't have "find my iphone" turned on in my settings, but I did have a passcode. When it was stolen I turned on find my iphone via icloud. I received a text message alerting me that my iphone had been located today, but when I clicked the link it didn't show me the location and now the phone has disappeared from my devices. Is there anyway that Apple can still show me the location?
