I keep getting an error when I try to download mov

I keep getting an Error message when I try to download a movie (new or previously downloaded). I have more than enough space and I have tried restarting my wifi and iPad, tried doing the download with out using my iPad at the same time, and while charging. I do not own a Mac or and kind of computer to try syncing it that way. The movie will get over half way done usually before it will prompt me to retry or be "done". Clicking retry just results in the same prompt popping up again. This has never happened before. Any advice?
