cannot pair my iPhone 6 Plus with car and it states I have the wrong passkey and of course I do not.

I have a new iPhone 6 Plus and I cannot pair it with my car. It states that I have the wrong passkey but it is correct and have done it over and over and it will not pair. Can anyone help? Has anyone else had this problem?
