Storage Space showing incorrect amount.

Its hard to explain but Im attaching a picture. My macbook pro says that I have 190GB free space yet it is saying that I have 105GB in just apps which isnt correct at all. Everything was fine until I did a update which was to 10.10.4. Is there anyway to fix this without having to do a fresh install. Doing a fresh install is my last resort because I am unsure of how to create a installer usb. I have a backup of my macbook on an external hard drive all the way through today.

If anyone could explain to me what happened or how I could fix this, that would be great.
